Paranormal University of Tasmania
We've had many requests (ok, one actually) to provide a spot where unusual, or better still paranormal experiences can be exposed for all to see.
Everyone knows the old Bio-Med library was haunted, so tell the world about your experience when you were "alone in the library of terror".
Maybe you had an out-of-body experience during an exam. We at utas.ws have had many out-of-body experiences but mainly after drinking too much at the Union Bar.
Other paranormal/psychic tales are welcome, if it happened in or even anywhere near UTAS we'll publish it!

The mayfair in the bay is near(ish) to uni. I worked in it shortly after it was built installing the phone systems.
That building is totally "warped".
Going into the roof space was a terrifying experience, not for any other reason than you'ld always feel that something was watching you. I've worked in plenty of horrible places but this was something different. When I worked at Mt Lyell, the miners would talk about sealed off shafts that they just hated to be near let alone work in.
Mayfair in the bay was much like that, as far as I can tell.
It still has a creepy feel to it. But if you want to feel real terror convince the management to let you into the roof space. Alone.

yes - the old bio-med library was very scary, especially at night. There used to be a key for after-hours access for staff and post-grad students.
One night I was downstairs on my own. I didn't see anything but I felt the presence of something. Definitely not a nice something either. This was downstairs. The top floor seemed OK.

Hi i'm aiden from australian paranormal investigation unit we are a paranormal team based out of hobart. We have investigated such haunted locations as the hobart penitentiary chapel, willow court, the drunken admiral and franklin house. If you like my team could conduct an investigation in this building using our equipment to find out whether it's haunted or not.
If your interested i have added my email
Thanks

Hi Aiden,
The Old Bio-Med Library has been redeveloped. We haven't heard of any paranormal stuff since it was.
But, it was well known for being haunted, so maybe activity has resumed after being interrupted by renovations. We'll get in contact with the appropriate people at UTAS and try to set something up for you.
Cheers
